SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – My Home Group values Collaboration, Community and Culture as the core pillars of their business. A representation of their commitment to those pillars was the participation in the 2021 VIP Mortgage’s Phoenix Open Charity Golf Tournament, hosted at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club.

This year’s event had many participants, including My Home Group who sponsored one of the holes on the esteemed course. With a mission to be involved in the community, this tournament amongst other efforts, is something the brokerage looked forward to each year. The tournament included the opportunity for attendees to hear stories from those who have benefited from the health care provided by Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

VIP Mortgage’s Alexis Reed and Eric Kilstorm were behind this year’s event. For Kilstorm, there was a personal reason for why this event is important to him. Kilstorm is the VIP’s Senior Vice President and Founder of We Care at Anthem. According to their Facebook page, the Nonprofit Organization was “formed in 2001 to help families and friends raise money for families with children that have life-threatening illness or the sudden loss of a child.” Kilstorm’s son Griffin was a patient at Phoenix Children’s as an infant. The organization’s dedication to their family during that time, opened a door of opportunity for the Kilstorm family to give back.

Phoenix Children’s Hospital has a mission to have provided “hope, healing and the best healthcare for children and their families”. With efforts from the event, My Home Group was able to help raise $21,000 for kids and families in need.

This year My Home Group Owners, Jereme Kleven and Mark Hutchins along with Designated Broker, Andrew Glenn played in the tournament. For all, it is an occasion they anticipate to take part in each year.

“I look forward to this event and all events where we have the opportunity to give back to our community,” MHG Owner, Jereme Kleven said. “Community is part of the foundation of our brokerage and we strive to support our agents, teams and the community around them whenever possible. It was an honor to play even a small part in making a difference in the lives of these children and their families.”

“This event is always highlighted on the calendar and My Home Group looks forward to being a sponsor,” MHG Owner, Mark Hutchins said. “We are always looking for ways to help out where we can, and support our Power Partners. It’s heartwarming to see how our contributions can make such a difference in people’s lives.”
